


Sue Lukito's charismatic stage presence, sultry voice and guitar excellence combines to make her a musical tour de force. She performs with piano phenom Thomas Suczek or with her band the Jazz Messengers. Sue was born into a musical family, (of pianists and drummers) her mother danced to live big bands including Benny Goodman, Peggy Lee & Ella Fitzgerald, She studied classical guitar for 15 years under the outstanding direction of Phillip Covelli in Philadelphia. Interested in jazz, and heavily influenced by the Weather Report, she studied under Pat Martino disciple, Al Stauffer. Sue moved to Boston and studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, and at Berklee where she met Pat Metheny. You can hear her perform the haunting "James", which she learned from the composer, Pat Metheny.
